Job Description
The Account Operations Supervisor will serve as the quarterback of the shift, leading the Account Operations Coordinator team and ensuring customer freight is planned accurately and efficiently from initial request through booking. This person will oversee daily planning by coordinating bookings from warehouses, evaluating available truck capacity, and identifying opportunities to consolidate loads to maximize truck utilization and prevent unnecessary freight spend. They will monitor account performance against established SLAs and KPIs, proactively identifying service gaps, aging exceptions, or potential customer issues and driving them through resolution. The Supervisor will also act as an escalation point for the team and customer, ensuring coordinators have clear direction, communication remains consistent, and operational issues are routed to the appropriate teams. This individual will be a hands-on, go-getter leader who understands transportation operations, can make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment, and continuously looks for ways to improve planning and overall account performance.
