Position Type: Full-time Contract, Contract to Hire Duration: 12months Location: Salt Lake City Utah 84116 (Onsite/1st Shift) As a Project Engineer you will: Manage day-to-day tactical activities for assigned engineering programs and Global Trade Compliance Manage day to day tactical activities for assigned engineering programs and Global Trade Compliance projects. Oversee cost, schedule, and technical performance to ensure alignment with Program Manager and customer expectations. Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering project management, cross functional teams, and line leadership. Monitor project status, budgets, and schedules, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions as needed. Identify and resolve complex project issues to support productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives. Develop and maintain mechanisms for tracking project progress, enabling timely intervention and problem-solving. Coordinate with resource managers to ensure appropriate staffin g, project reviews, and required approvals are obtained. Guide, coach, and support project team members, contributing to improved processes and execution effectiveness. Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners such as customers or vendors to ensure alignment and issue resolution. Conduct project analyses during phasedown and capture lessons learned to benefit future engineering programs. projects. Ideal candidate will have: An ABET (EAC/CAC) accredited Bachelor's of Science degree in an engineering discipline, and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience Comprehensive level knowledge of jo b area. May have in-depth knowledge of project management Implements strategic goals established by leadership on assigned projects Establishes operational plans for job area with short-term impact on results Expert in Earned Value Management and cost/schedule estimation Experience coordinating across multiple engineering functions Experience communicating directly with customer and in front of non-technical audience Knowledge and experience using AI tools for staffing, forecasting and other related technical tasks Experience in system level development, requirements definition, analysis, and risk mitigation for Communications, Open Systems Architecture, Satellite Communications, and/or Electronic Presentation and communication skills Space Communications Design, Architecture Experience Space Parts, Materials and Process Background Proposal experience with DoD contracts Qua lified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
