SPED Asst DEV KDG

JOB SUMMARY:

Assists the classroom teacher by working one to one or with small groups of students to reinforce skills taught in the class and performs miscellaneous routine duties under the direction of the teacher to enable the teacher to spend more time on instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: The position requires a minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited university or a passing score on the Para Pro Praxis Test. Prior experience in working with computers and various software programs is required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists professional teaching faculty in the operation of a teaching laboratory.
• Provides students with programs, materials and instruction under the direction of the professional.
• Coordinates the use of laboratory equipment and supplies. Maintains equipment.
• Serves as resource person to students in their assignments.
• Keeps records of student attendance, progress and mastery of skills.
• Provides classroom instructors with information concerning student progress.
• Performs related duties as required.

SALARY:

$13.50 - No Bachelor Degree

$16.00 - Hold a Bachelor Degree or above
