Original job description
You are Impel's expert on dealer inventory. Be the person who makes sure dealer inventory shows up right, on every site, from the first day a dealer goes live. You support complex launches, troubleshoot live accounts and design inventory solutions, working most closely with Implementation and Support. You also work directly with inventory feed providers, website providers and other third parties, and you see escalations and QA through to resolution. What You'll Do
- Get complex launches right. Review inventory requirements, design the feed and display approach with Implementation, and confirm feed source, partner activation and first successful sync before go-live. Flag blockers early.
- Fix live issues at the root. Diagnose missing, stale or inaccurate inventory across the feed, the provider and our platform. Own escalations from Support to resolution and keep a current log of open blocks, their age and customer impact.
- Run the partner relationships. Hold a weekly (or more frequent) status meeting with inventory partners covering every block and risk, and build strong contacts at feed and website providers.
- Protect feed quality. Review feeds for accuracy and completeness, including pricing, photos and vehicle data. Spot recurring patterns and recommend process or product fixes.
- Make the team smarter. Help Implementation, Support and CSMs interpret inventory behavior, and maintain playbooks and escalation paths for common issues.
Required
- Hands-on automotive experience at an inventory feed provider or dealer website provider
- About 6–9 years of relevant experience, including owning complex inventory issues
- Working knowledge of how inventory moves from DMS to feed provider to website, and where it breaks
- Ability to review feeds (FTP/SFTP, CSV, XML, Excel) and spot problems quickly
- Experience managing escalations and communicating status to technical and non-technical audiences
- Existing, or quickly built, contacts at inventory partners
Nice to have
- Implementation, onboarding or support experience
- Experience designing solutions for multi-rooftop dealer groups
- Comfort with ticketing tools and basic reporting
You stay calm under pressure, follow through thoroughly and are comfortable owning problems that cross teams.
