Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a Teacher Assistant for a Pre-K classroom who has experience with this age group! We are a 100% Employee Owned Company, which means you have ownership too. This is a full time position with the hours between 8:30-5:00 or 9:00-6:00.

Requirements

Responsibilities include:

• Participate in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Ensure compliance with licensing and NAEYC guidelines
• Effective communication with families, staff and board
• Effective written communication skills
• Ability to meet physical requirements of position which include lifting children, pushing strollers/buggies, sitting on the floor and year-round daily outdoor activities

Qualifications:

• CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Education, preferred or in progress
• Previous experience teaching children in an Early Childhood program preferred
• Previous experience with NAEYC standards and the accreditation process a plus
