Position: Professional Services Project Manager, Americas Location: US - Fort Lauderdale/Hybrid *Highly Preffered*

THE ROLE:

The Professional Services Project Manager is a senior role within the Global Professional Services organization, and acts as the primary orchestrator for complex, large-scale enterprise deployments of the IGEL OS ecosystem. This role balances deep corporate stakeholder management with effective internal cross-functional alignment across engineering, support, sales, product management and development teams. The function ensures successful end-to-end delivery of enterprise implementation, OS migration, and endpoint security deployment projects.

The Professional Services Project Manager will work closely with the Technical Relationship Manager (TRMs where assigned within an account) and the wider CX, Solutions Architects (SA), Sales Account teams to ensure the business and technical commitments made prior to and during deployment are met. This role will also be responsible for managing defined and agreed scope, aligning with customer technical teams and stakeholders to keep project parameters on track and highlight any risks of scope creep.

The right candidate has 5+ years of software project management or technical consulting experience, specifically managing enterprise-grade infrastructure or desktop virtualization (VDI / DaaS) deployments. You will be working with an experienced, motivated team and an executive sponsor who expects direct communication, clear ownership, and effective risk management.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of software project management or technical consulting experience, specifically managing enterprise-grade infrastructure or desktop virtualization (VDI / DaaS) deployments.
  • Project Governance: Proven track record of managing multi-phase, high-visibility software rollouts, including strict scope control, resource forecasting, and risk mitigation.
  • Industry Domain Knowledge: Foundational familiarity with secure Edge OS environments, thin clients, or virtualization tech stacks (e.g., Citrix, VMware/Omnissa, Microsoft AVD, Amazon WorkSpaces).
  • Methodology Certifications: Active PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP).
  • Core Competencies: Outstanding negotiation skills, internal navigation acumen (connecting customer needs with software product engineers), and the capacity to keep enterprise rollout timelines strict and structured.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hands-on expertise with the IGEL stack: IGEL OS (including OS 12), IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS), IGEL Cloud Gateway, and the IGEL Management Interface API.
  • VDI & DaaS Domain Expertise: Specialized experience managing deployments within virtual desktop infrastructure and Desktop-as-a-Service ecosystems (e.g., Microsoft AVD, Citrix, Omnissa/VMware, Amazon WorkSpaces, or Nutanix Frame).
  • Endpoint Tech Stack Knowledge: Familiarity with Linux-based enterprise operating systems, secure endpoint management, thin client hardware, and cloud-delivered management concepts.
  • Vendor Ecosystem Experience: Prior experience working directly for a global enterprise software vendor or a tier-1 IT systems integrator.
  • Target Vertical Experience: Prior experience delivering consulting services or software implementations within highly regulated enterprise verticals, specifically Healthcare (understanding clinical endpoints and compliance), Financial Services, or IT/OT environments.

TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enterprise Client Delivery & Ownership: Lead enterprise customers through structured Professional Services offerings. Maintain rigorous control over timelines, scopes, and Statement of Work (SOW) compliance.
  • Internal Liaison & Synchronization: Act as the internal advocate for the customer's deployment project. Coordinate directly with Product Management, Engineering, and Technical Relationship Managers (TRMs) to clear technical blockages, prioritize scoped feature requests, and streamline escalation management.
  • Deployment Governance & Reporting: Establish comprehensive project timelines, resource scheduling, and risk mitigation strategies. Provide transparent, executive-level delivery reporting to both client stakeholders and IGEL CX leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner smoothly with the broader Sales and Presales Architecture teams during project handoffs to ensure the scoped technical vision is accurately translated into active, successful field execution.
  • Value & Retention Optimization: Ensure deployment architecture meets customer security and budget targets (such as validating their endpoint reduction or security compliance metrics) to cement long-term platform health.
  • Change Management Guidance: Consult with customer IT leadership on user adoption strategies and change management best practices to ensure a smooth transition to the IGEL OS platform across enterprise endpoints.
  • Post-Deployment Handover: Orchestrate a seamless, formal transition from the Global Consulting phase to Customer Success and operational support teams once deployment milestones are signed off.
  • Knowledge Capitalization: Document unique deployment architectures, lessons learned, and reusable deployment assets to continuously improve Global Consulting Services methodology and playbooks.
