The Opportunity Dream Nashville is looking for a General Manager who understands that a great lifestyle hotel is more than a place to stay. It is a place people want to experience. Dream brings together hospitality, dining, nightlife, design, music, and entertainment to create a hotel with a distinctive social energy. It is a place where visitors and locals come together, where an ordinary evening can become a memorable one, and where the experience extends well beyond the guestroom. Our General Manager must bring that spirit to life in Nashville, a city where music, entertainment, and hospitality are central to its identity. This is a role for an accomplished operator, a natural connector, and a leader with creativity, confidence, and genuine taste. Qualifications & Leadership Profile

The ideal candidate brings:

  • Proven general management leadership. Current General Manager experience in an upper-upscale, luxury, or lifestyle hotel, with demonstrated accountability for operational excellence, colleague development, guest experience, and financial performance.
  • Commercial and financial discipline. Strong command of revenue strategy, financial planning, profitability, and asset stewardship, with the judgment to balance commercial opportunities against the long-term reputation and positioning of Dream Nashville.
  • Exceptional food, beverage, and nightlife instincts. Significant experience overseeing complex, multi-outlet food and beverage operations, with a sophisticated understanding of restaurants, bars, entertainment, and the elements that make social destinations successful.
  • A genuine understanding of lifestyle and entertainment hospitality. Experience creating vibrant destinations that attract both travelers and local residents. Understands how music, atmosphere, programming, and hospitality come together to create experiences people actively seek out.
  • Urban hotel experience. Demonstrated ability to lead a dynamic urban hotel serving leisure, corporate, group, entertainment, and local guests, while balancing the energy of public spaces with the comfort and expectations of overnight guests.
  • Strong ownership and stakeholder relationships. The confidence, transparency, and judgment to build trusted relationships with ownership, Hyatt leadership, commercial partners, entertainment and hospitality collaborators, and the local community.
  • Strategic thinking with operational presence. The ability to develop and execute business plans while remaining deeply engaged in the hotel's daily operation, guest experience, food and beverage venues, and social atmosphere.

The Dream Lifestyle Leader Beyond experience and technical qualifications, we are looking for three defining qualities. Creativity Thinks independently, sees opportunities others overlook, and understands how to bring people, ideas, and experiences together. Creativity at Dream is about creating energy and memorable experiences. The right leader knows how to develop compelling concepts, recognize emerging cultural interests, and introduce new ideas that give people a reason to visit. They are willing to experiment, but understand that creativity must translate into experiences guests genuinely value and operations can consistently deliver. Social Intelligence Reads the room, understands people, and knows how to bring them together. This is a leader who moves comfortably between ownership meetings, guest interactions, restaurant service, and a lively evening in the hotel's social spaces. They build relationships naturally with guests, colleagues, local personalities, entertainment partners, and the people who shape Nashville's cultural life. They know how to create an atmosphere that feels exciting and welcoming, never intimidating or manufactured. Taste Has a discerning eye, cultural awareness, and a strong point of view. Understands music, design, dining, cocktails, nightlife, and the subtle elements that create atmosphere. Recognizes the difference between a genuinely compelling experience and one that is simply fashionable. Taste at Dream is the ability to create excitement without sacrificing quality, energy without chaos, and memorable experiences without unnecessary spectacle. The Leader in Practice The successful General Manager is visible, socially engaged, and personally invested in the life of Dream Nashville. They understand that the hotel has two equally important audiences: the traveler choosing where to stay and the local guest choosing where to spend an evening. They cultivate authentic relationships with Nashville's music, entertainment, culinary, business, and creative communities. They know what is happening in the city and understand how Dream can participate meaningfully in its social life. They are deeply engaged in the hotel's restaurants, bars, and entertainment experiences, recognizing that these spaces are central to the property's identity and commercial proposition. At the same time, they never lose sight of the fundamentals of great hospitality. Guestrooms must be comfortable, service must be attentive, and the hotel's energy must never come at the expense of a guest's ability to rest, work, or feel cared for. They develop colleagues who bring personality, confidence, and genuine hospitality to their roles. They create a culture where individuality is encouraged, teamwork is essential, and accountability is clear. They understand that a successful evening is not simply one with a full room. It is one where the right atmosphere, the right people, excellent service, and strong execution come together. What Success Looks Like Success means delivering strong operational and commercial performance while making Dream Nashville a distinctive and desirable destination. Travelers choose the hotel because they want to be part of its energy. Nashville residents return because its restaurants, bars, and experiences offer something genuinely compelling. Colleagues are proud to work there and grow as professionals. Ownership has confidence in the hotel's leadership, commercial discipline, and long-term direction. The hotel's social spaces are vibrant, its hospitality is consistently excellent, and its reputation is built on experiences people want to repeat. The General Manager is accountable for all of these outcomes. The right candidate does not simply know how to operate a successful lifestyle hotel. They know how to make Dream Nashville a place people want to be, and an experience they want to come back to.
