- About Alsos Behavioral Health
Alsos Behavioral Health is a multi-state addiction-treatment company focused on Medicaid and safety-net substance use disorder care. The company is building a scalable residential addiction-treatment platform where patient access, strong census, admissions speed, documentation discipline, and operational execution all matter.
- About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Human Resources Business Partner who can support facility leaders and employees while running a dependable HR operation in a residential behavioral health setting. The HRBP reports to the Facility CEO with a dotted-line relationship to the Senior HR Director.
This role is for an HR professional who can handle employee concerns thoughtfully, coach managers, keep compliance records accurate, move hiring and onboarding forward, and coordinate daily administrative needs across Payroll, IT and the business office. This position has no direct reports.
- What This Role Owns
- Partner with leaders on staffing plans, recruitment, interviewing, selection coordination, onboarding and new-hire orientation.
- Coach supervisors on employee relations, performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, evaluations and employee development.
- Support engagement, employee recognition, retention, succession planning and change communication.
- Maintain personnel files and HR records; track licenses, certifications, training and important compliance deadlines.
- Support employment-law practices, audits, accreditation readiness, investigations and consistent policy application while protecting employee confidentiality.
- Coordinate recurring business-office administrative work, Payroll handoffs and practical process improvements.
- Serve as the facility IT liaison for authorized equipment, account-access requests and support coordination.
- Participate in facility leadership meetings and other related responsibilities assigned by the Facility CEO.
- What Success Looks Like
- In the first three months, you understand current staffing and HR risks and have dependable recruiting, onboarding, employee-relations and compliance follow-through.
- By six months, leaders see more consistent staffing processes, onboarding, personnel-file readiness and manager follow-through, measured against agreed facility baselines.
- Required Qualifications
- At least four years of progressively responsible HR experience.
- Experience working in the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated capability in employee relations, manager coaching, recruiting, compliance and confidential documentation.
- Strong organization, interpersonal communication and ability to manage competing priorities in a busy facility.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to use or learn HR systems.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to work fully on-site during standard business hours, with flexibility to respond to facility needs.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration or a related field.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR certification.
- Behavioral health, addiction treatment, substance use disorder or residential healthcare experience.
- Familiarity with HRIS and EHR environments, healthcare accreditation standards, and state licensing rules.
- Who Will Thrive
You follow problems through to a documented conclusion, earn trust without avoiding difficult conversations, support managers with sound HR judgment, and notice compliance risks before they become larger issues. You are willing to handle both strategic people issues and routine administrative details.
- Not a Fit If...
You want a remote-only advisory position, prefer to focus exclusively on recruiting or culture programs, or are unwilling to personally manage employee-relations follow-through, documentation and cross-department coordination.
- Application Instructions
Apply through the application process associated with this posting. Applicants should describe specific healthcare HR experience and examples of employee-relations, recruiting or compliance work they personally owned.
- Equal Employment Opportunity
Alsos Behavioral Health is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are made without discrimination on the basis of legally protected status. Reasonable accommodations are available during the application process as required by applicable law.
