Controls Engineer

Position: Controls Engineer Location: Wilmington, NC/Greenville, SC (Onsite) Exp: 5-12 Yrs Position Type: W2 only (Long Term) Only USC / GC

Key Responsibilities:

• Expertise in integration of NUMAC with the H31 communication platform, developing and validating detailed system requirements.
• Define and document system requirements for communication between NUMAC and EGD systems
• Develop communication protocols and requirements for NUMAC interaction with Plant UDH
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including control system engineers, software developers, and plant operations to ensure system compatibility and performance

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with small modular reactor (SMR) control systems such as BWRX-300.
• Knowledge of nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with software tools used for system design and testing.
• Proven experience with control system communications, preferably in nuclear power plant environments.
• Strong knowledge of communication protocols and systems integration (e.g., DCS, SCADA, PLC communication interfaces).
• Experience with system requirements development, prototyping, and final design processes.
• Familiarity with NUMAC, H31 platforms, EGD systems, and Plant UDH communication architectures is highly desirable.
