Maintenance Technician

The City of Huber Heights, Ohio, located just minutes from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and in close proximity of the Dayton International Airport and the I-75/I-70 “Crossroads of America” interchange with a population of 43,590, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of full-time Maintenance Technician.

This position is responsible for performing manual labor and equipment operations to assist with road repairs, snow removal, and parks and public facility maintenance. Candidate should have knowledge of street related maintenance and repairs, cut and remove asphalt and concrete, lay and finish concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, have basic construction knowledge and skill in the use of specialized equipment and tools.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent and previous work experience or training in road infrastructure construction and repair, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to provide sufficient evidence of the successful performance of the essential functions of the job. Must possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio Driver License and a Class “A” Commercial Driver License (CDL) or obtain within 12 months from date of hire.

Entry level wage rate is $26.31 with a four-step process to a wage rate of $36.52 at the final step.
