Veneer Press & Machine Room Supervisor

We’re looking for a hands-on supervisor to lead our Veneer Press and Machine Room teams. In this role, you’ll guide employees, solve production challenges, and help ensure every component meets our standards for quality and craftsmanship.

Requirements

What you’ll do

• Plan and supervise daily production to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Provide technical guidance in veneer preparation, matching and pressing, panel fabrication, CNC machining, edge banding, and sanding.
• Inspect work, resolve quality and equipment issues, and keep materials and jobs moving through production.
• Train and coach employees, set clear expectations, and maintain a safe, organized work area.
• Work with other departments to resolve bottlenecks and improve production processes.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Significant experience in veneer processing, woodworking, machining, furniture manufacturing, architectural millwork, or a related field.
• Knowledge of veneer fabrication, wood materials, adhesives, substrates, and quality standards.
• Ability to read production drawings, work orders, specifications, and measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment, production, and quality issues.
• Ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, and train and coach employees.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and basic computer skills.
• Must be able to move/lift 50 pounds minimum.

Experience with veneer presses, CNC equipment, edge banders, and other woodworking machinery is strongly preferred. Related technical training and experience in contract furniture or commercial wood products are also preferred.

Pay Rate Range: $28.00 - $34.00/hr Depending on Experience Benefits available: Generous paid time off, paid holidays, medical and dental benefits, and a 401(k).
