Maintenance I Tech

HomeFront is seeking a Maintenance I Tech to support the day-to-day upkeep of Housing Authority of Billings properties by completing a wide range of repairs and preventive work that keeps homes safe, functional, and ready for residents. Pay: $24.00 per hour. Schedule: Monday -- Friday, 8:00 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m. Key Duties: • General plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, masonry, landscaping, and sheetrock repair. • Turning vacant units (cleaning, painting, interior/exterior repairs). • Grounds maintenance such as snow/ice removal, lawn care, and sprinkler system repair. • Assisting with preventive maintenance planning. • Participating in an on-call rotation for emergency troubleshooting. Required qualifications/skills: • Valid Montana driver's license. • Able to meet agency auto insurance requirements. • Bondable. • Acceptable criminal background check. • Proficient with hand/power tools. • Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving. • Professional communication, customer service, and respectful work with low-income/elderly/disabled populations.
