Original job description

HomeCloud – Home Specialist (Virtual Property Evaluator) About HomeCloud At HomeCloud, we’re reimagining how homes are evaluated, repaired, and managed – using tech to replace outdated evaluations and clunky contractor handoffs with a seamless, modern experience. Backed by top-tier investors and expanding rapidly, we’re building the operating system for homeownership.

If you're energized by impact, autonomy, and solving hard (but meaningful) problems – we’d love to meet you. About the Role As a Home Advisor, you will remotely evaluate homes using HomeCloud’s proprietary digital platform. Your primary responsibility will be to review photos, videos, and property data captured by our onsite team, identify meaningful repair-related issues, and help prepare contractor-led evaluation reports with clear repair scopes and actionable pricing. If you're an expert on the different features and major systems found in and around a home (e.g., property inspector, appraiser, retired/ex-home inspector, licensed tradesperson such as an electrician/plumber/roofer/general contractor) and are adept at using technology, then this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

Certify Home Reports: Review & Evaluate home data to analyze the condition, including photos and videos, to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.Utilize HomeCloud’s web application to conduct remote property evaluations and provide detailed assessments.
Build Processes: Create and improve processes and workflows for efficiency and scale.
Quality Assurance: Identify potential defects or system malfunctions and flag any concerns for further review.
Client Communication: Clearly articulate findings to homeowners, buyers, and real estate professionals.
Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with onsite inspectors and provide feedback to enhance HomeCloud’s platform and processes.
Customer Experience: Ensure a seamless experience for clients by addressing questions and offering professional guidance.

Who You Are You thrive in a technology-driven, fast-paced environment and have deep expertise in home systems. You’re meticulous, analytical, and comfortable using digital tools for home evaluations.

Qualifications

Expertise in home systems – Ideal backgrounds include home inspection, appraisals, home services (electrician, plumber, HVAC, handyman), or general contracting.
Strong computer proficiency and ability to adapt to new software.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to assess home conditions accurately.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Why Join HomeCloud?

Competitive Compensation: $55,000 - $75,000 per year, based on experience.
Cutting-Edge Technology: Work with an innovative platform transforming home assessments.
Growth & Development: Professional advancement opportunities in a fast-growing startup.

Apply Today! If you’re ready to be part of a company that’s revolutionizing the home services industry, we want to hear from you. Join HomeCloud and help shape the future of home evaluations! HomeCloud is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion for all applicants and employees. We are dedicated to building a company that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status. If you have a specific need that requires accommodation, please let a member of our team know by providing the nature of your request and your contact information.
