Payroll Specialist

Job description:

• Process bi-weekly, multi-state payroll, including reviewing employee time entries, identifying discrepancies, reconciling payroll reports, and ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Maintain employee payroll records and process pay rate changes, new hires, terminations, promotions, deductions, garnishments, manual checks, bonuses, and payroll adjustments.
• Research and resolve payroll inquiries related to PTO, direct deposits, tax withholding, retroactive pay, garnishments, and other payroll-related matters.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports, including W-2s, wage reporting, payroll reconciliations, and financial reports for Accounting and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, and Operations to maintain payroll accuracy, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, support audits, and improve payroll processes.

Nice to have:

• Payroll certification FPC
• Bilingual: Spanish/English

Requirements:

• Must have (5) years of multistate payroll experience
• Must have experience with wage and hour laws for all applicable states, including California
• Must have experience with ADP WFN
• MS Excel: High level proficiency
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check required
• Drug screening required
