Unit Manager (RN/LPN)

Highland Square is looking for a Unit Manager to care for our Residents and facilitate their speedy recovery. The candidate will be part of the professional Nursing Administrative Team. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care. The goal is to promote the patient’s well-being by providing high-quality nursing care.

• Responsibilities of Unit Manager:
• Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
• Observe and interpret Residents symptoms and communicate them to physicians
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
• Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections, etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
• Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
• Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, etc.)
• Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants
• Valid nursing license

REQUIREMENTS OF WOUND CARE NURSE:

• As the Wound Nurse, you must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with patients, families, physicians, community resources, and the general public.
• Must have a valid OH Nursing license
• Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Wound Nurse preferred, Unit Manager/Nursing Supervisor in Long Term Care experience may be considered
