Pay

• Average annual earnings: $84,000
• Top 10% of drivers earn up to $90,000 annually
• Mileage pay: $0.63–$0.745 per mile
• Stop pay: $20–$30 per stop
• Backhaul pay: $30 per load
• Detention pay: $25 per hour
• Weekly salary: $100
• Sign-on bonus plan: $10,000
• Additional pay for qualifying work, training, and holidays

Schedule and Home Time

• Semi-local routes with frequent home time
• Deliveries throughout Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan
• Chicago-area suburbs are the main service area; no downtown Chicago deliveries
• Routes may include Michigan’s Upper Peninsula
• Shuttle runs between distribution facilities in Lansing and Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Job Details

• Deliver retail merchandise to Meijer stores
• Approximately 85% drop-and-hook freight
• No-touch freight
• Backhauls to Lansing, Michigan
• Slip-seating is required only during mandatory vehicle maintenance
• Trucks remain at the account during home time
• Lunch provided during orientation

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire
• Reimbursement available for the cost of obtaining the endorsement
• Ability to operate safely across Midwest routes
• Minimum 9 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• No SAP Drivers
• Clean driving record
• DOT Medical card
• Able to work weekends
