Every day you work, you get paid a flat $247. No guessing, no dependence on miles. If you just finished CDL school, this regional dry van run is a solid place to start.

HOW THE MONEY WORKS

• $247 guaranteed for every day you work, up to 6 days a week
• That adds up to about $1,400 to $1,500 a week, roughly $72,800 to $78,000 a year (my math from the weekly range)
• Paid weekly

A WEEK ON THE ROAD

You head out on Sunday and are usually home by Friday, with a 34-hour reset to recharge. Day and night shifts are both available. Weekend work comes with the job. Thanksgiving and Christmas are off, and you pick up the other holidays on a rotating basis.

WHERE YOU'LL GO

Regional dry van runs through Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee and Michigan. All freight is 100% no-touch, so you drive and the freight stays put.

GETTING IN THE DOOR

• A valid Class A CDL
• At least 120 hours of CDL training
• No driving experience needed
• Urine and hair follicle drug screening
• An active profile in the federal drug and alcohol clearinghouse
• Background details come up later in the process, like any normal hiring step
