Chicago Area Container Driver | Home Every Day Know Chicago traffic, or ready to learn it? This intermodal job puts you on steady freight, with the choice of days or nights and your own bed waiting at the end of every shift.

THE NUMBERS

Drivers earn between $1,200 and $1,400 a week, which works out to roughly $62,400 to $72,800 a year. Pay lands weekly, and the freight stays consistent, so your checks don't swing wildly from one week to the next.

WHEN YOU'LL WORK

Day and night shifts are both available, and you're home daily. Weekend work is part of the schedule. Holidays only come into play if one falls on a day you're already scheduled.

WHERE YOU'LL RUN

Mostly in and around Chicago, with regional runs into Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa and Indiana. Nights lean heavily on drop and hook, with some live loads and unloads mixed in, so you spend more time rolling than waiting.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 6 months of OTR experience after training within the last 12 months, or 12 months of experience in the past 5 years
• Home within 30 miles of the hub
• Urine and hair follicle drug screening
