Shuttle & Yard Driver | Phoenix Area
Short hops, steady hourly pay, and your own bed every night. This local shuttle role keeps trailers moving between a bakery and a distribution center just 7 miles apart.
THE PAY
You start at $21.00 an hour. Most drivers average about $1,300 a week, which comes to roughly $67,600 a year.
THE SCHEDULE
- Home every day
- Day shift, with some night driving possible
- Split days off and weekend work
- Off on Thanksgiving and Christmas; other holidays depend on business needs
A TYPICAL DAY
You'll shuttle trailers back and forth between the bakery and the distribution center, hostle in the yard, and seal and secure trailers. You'll also handle bread trays and carts, so be ready for hands-on work. Trailers have lift gates, and bread is stacked on wheeled racks that you unload by hand.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Valid Class A CDL
- 6 months of OTR experience after training within the last 12 months, or 12 months of experience in the past 5 years
- Live within 50 miles of the hub
- Urine and hair follicle drug screening
