Subrogation Examiner Location: Tampa, FL – Heart of the Westshore Business District Are you a detail-driven claims professional who knows how to uncover recovery opportunities and drive results? We’re looking for a Subrogation Examiner to join our Claims team in beautiful Tampa, Florida - right in the heart of the Westshore District, just minutes from Tampa International Airport. What You’ll Do As a Subrogation Examiner, you’ll play a critical role in identifying and protecting the company’s legal subrogation rights and recovering funds from responsible third parties. Your work will directly contribute to the financial strength and integrity of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review First Notices of Loss and existing claims to identify subrogation and recovery opportunities
• Apply relevant rules and statutes to determine potential reimbursement from third-party payers
• Investigate claims to identify responsible entities or individuals with recovery potential
• Analyze adjuster, accident, incident, and expert reports to determine liability and at-fault parties
• Notify and communicate with insurance carriers, attorneys, and other stakeholders regarding subrogation interests
• Negotiate settlements of subrogation claims and prepare recommendations for final approval
• Maintain organized, up-to-date claim diaries and respond promptly to correspondence
• Coordinate with subrogation counsel and assist with litigation as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and external partners in a professional and courteous manner
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

What You Bring

• 1–2 years of subrogation-specific claims handling experience (required)
• Active Adjuster’s License (required)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Strong knowledge of claims processes and subrogation practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities
• Results-driven approach with a commitment to quality and accuracy

Work Environment & Schedule

• Office-based role in our Tampa Westshore headquarters
• Travel not typically required
• Standard business hours
