Position Purpose: Works as a member of the Axle Production department to assist in the operation of machinery in the Axle Production area. Essential Functions: - Operating all of the non-MIG welding machinery in the axle area. - Ability to perform quality checks using calibrated digital micrometers, Veneer calipers and go/no go gauges to ensure product is within tolerance. - Proper paperwork/reports are to be completed to document build per work order specifications. Education and Training: - High school diploma/GED required. - Prior CNC Machine Operator or manufacturing machining experience preferred. Minimum Qualifications: - Ability to interpret production schedules and build specifications. - Must be able to utilize torque wrenches according to specs. - Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug-free throughout the term of employment Physical Demands: - Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities and simple grasp. - Frequent use of firm grasping, fine manipulation and pitching. - Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling and climbing - Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. - Must be able to utilize overhead cranes. - Must follow all safety practices and policies.
