Backup Babysitter

We’re currently looking for an Occasional Backup Babysitter in Rockville Centre, NY (11570)

A family in Rockville Centre is seeking a reliable, experienced, and nurturing babysitter to provide occasional backup care for their 8-month-old son. The family is looking for additional support during doctor's appointments and school closures, with occasional care needed for their 3-year-old son as well.

• Schedule: As-needed
• Monday–Friday
• Hours may vary between 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Approximately a few times per month
• Shifts ranging from 2–6 hours, depending on the family's needs
• The family can provide a few days to one week's advance notice
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing
• Rate: $22 per hour
• 2 Children: 8-month-old boy
• 3-year-old boy (occasional care)

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing, and age-appropriate care for the infant, with occasional care for both children.
• Handle infant feeding (provided by parents), diaper changes, and general care needs.
• Engage the children in age-appropriate play and activities.
• Prepare and provide snacks for the older child as needed.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment for both children.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• At least 2 years of paid childcare experience with infants and toddlers
• CPR certified
• Ability to pass a background and social media check
• At least 2 references from paid childcare experience

Compensation

This is an occasional, ongoing backup care opportunity offering $22 per hour. Care will primarily be for the family's 8-month-old son, with occasional care for both children when the older child is out of school. No driving is require
