At HDR, our employee-owners are fully engaged in creating a welcoming environment where each of us is valued and respected, a place where everyone is empowered to bring their authentic selves and novel ideas to work every day. Watch Our Story:' https://www.hdrinc.com/our-story'

Each and every role throughout our organization makes a difference in our ability to change the world for the better. Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.

We believe electricity powers modern life. As part of our Power sector, you’ll help shape how electricity is generated, transmitted and delivered as global energy demands grow. From massive data centers to modernizing transmission systems, our industry-recognized engineers and scientists have been at the forefront of grid transformation for more than a century. You’ll work side-by-side with these experts and contribute to reliable, resilient and sustainable power systems, helping communities thrive and industries expand. This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to drive infrastructure forward, power innovation and leave your mark on our energy future. As a Power Generation Project Manager, you will be joining a highly capable, multi-discipline team that supports power and energy projects in the industrial, institutional, IPP, data center and utility power industry. You will be supporting projects involving traditional generation technologies (gas fired engines /turbines / boilers, combined heat and power systems) as well as renewables (solar /wind) and battery energy storage (Li-Ion /long duration). You are a seller-doer who helps maintain client relationships (from pre-positioning for the work through project completion), brings in projects, develops strategies for performing the work, and leads multi-discipline project teams to successful completion of the work.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the project team, manage schedule + budget, coordinate with engineering disciplines, monitoring and communication of project status, and provide engineering support for detailed design, and Owner’s Engineer projects on both a technical and contractual level.
Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff in completion of project activities.
Develop the project work plan for the execution of the project.
Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals. Identify and process scope changes.
Maintain regular communication and coordination within the project team and with the client such that the project work plan and the client’s expectations on deliverables are understood and aligned. Monitor project deliverables for quality, completeness and conformance to the client’s expectations.
Develop and maintain client relations.
Perform marketing, business development, and consulting activities with existing and new clients.
Act as proposal manager and assist in the proposal preparation, review of contract terms and conditions, and evaluate risks associated with the services being offered. Develop the scope of work for the project.
Implement quality control checks per established procedures (e.g., organize and lead routine design reviews and internal quality assurance reviews).
Conduct negotiations to obtain the client’s approval and perform the contract administration of the change order.
Provide training and mentoring to project team staff on project management and project consulting issues.
Routinely report project progress to the Business Group Manager and Operations leaders.
Perform other duties as needed
