Buyer II - Purchasing

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Buyer II is an experienced buyer who independently manages purchasing for assigned categories or departments (e.g., med-surg, lab, pharmacy). The Buyer II manages higher-volume vendors and more sensitive items that require more frequent follow-up and communication.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Associate’s degree or health care experience, preferred
• Background in Purchasing or inventory control, preferred

• Strong discretion and ability to handle confidential information
• Composure in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies
• Dependable, punctual, and highly detail‑oriented
• Strong multitasking and independent‑work capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Accurate documentation skills
• Ability to follow established workflows consistently
• Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
