Inspector

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fully responsible down to minute detail to see that all items produced are manufactured to Base Sheet and/or customer specification.
• Must set out those items not meeting all requirements and suggest rework or scrap orders.
• Must be fully cognizant of all raw materials and processing.
• Must be able to operate testing equipment or perform special testing or inspection requirements as set out by the Lead Inspector or Quality Control Manager.

Experience and Education Required

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate preferred

Special Requirements/Skills: :

• Must be physically able to handle all items produced to fulfill the inspection process.
• Same is required for tooling, jigs, etc., inspection process.
• Requires ability (mental and physical) to set-up, perform and record inspection tests.
• Ability to read and use all types of measuring and testing equipment to fulfill his assigned inspection process.
• Has to have spent time as a production worker and/or fulfill other management requirements.
• Must be able to read blueprints and to drive company vehicles.
• Must pass a comprehensive test.
• Requires employee to work to HBD Industries, Inc. operating procedures and meet efficiency standards.

Comprehensive Test will cover the following:

• Basic mathematical calculations, including - Percentages, Decimal equivalents, determining values from Scales, Graphs, etc.
• Basic Verbal Skills: Word definitions and associations.
• Inspection Terminology, Reading Prints, slightly more difficult mathematical calculations as encountered in actual Inspection.
