Superintendent

Your new company A rapidly growing commercial construction firm specializing in mission-critical projects is seeking an experienced Superintendent to support its expanding data center portfolio throughout Northern Virginia. Your new role As Superintendent, you will oversee all on-site construction activities for mission-critical and data center projects, with a particular focus on renovations, retrofit work, infrastructure upgrades, and occupied facilities. You will coordinate subcontractors and trade partners, manage construction sequencing, lead outage planning efforts, enforce safety standards, maintain project schedules, and ensure quality execution throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a hands-on leader who can successfully navigate technically complex projects while maintaining continuous operations within live data center environments.

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent leading commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects
• Demonstrated experience delivering retrofit, renovation, densification, or infrastructure upgrade projects within operational data centers
• Experience working in live environments where outage planning, shutdown coordination, and operational continuity are critical
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and coordination across multiple trades, including complex MEP systems
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
• Experience utilizing construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
• OSHA 30 certification preferred and willingness to travel locally based on project requirements
