Custodian

Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking a diligent and reliable Custodian to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities.

-Employment Job Type: Full-time

-Schedule: Friday to Tuesday: 1:00PM – 9:30PM

-Hourly pay rate: $18.25

-Number of Hours: 40-hour work week.

-Key Responsibilities:

Ability to stand and walk for extended period throughout the work shift.

Willingness to work all weather conditions

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors

Dust and clean surfaces, including windows and mirrors

Clean and sanitize restrooms

Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste

*Must be capable of independently moving large green trash dumpsters.

Stock supplies in restrooms and other designated areas

Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored

Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, parking lot, dog park, and the surroundings of the assigned areas.

A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment

Report any maintenance or repair needs to management

Perform other assigned duties by your H.B.M. supervisor.

-Skills and Qualifications:

Must pass HBM prescreen check

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

Previous janitorial or custodian experience is preferred; we are willing to train.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently and as a team.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
