Original job description

Who We Are Harvest Hosts is a high-growth RV travel technology company and the largest private RV camping network in North America. We manage a portfolio of well-established brands across North America and Europe, offering a comprehensive suite of products designed to streamline and elevate the RV travel experience. In October of 2026, Harvest Hosts became part of Choice Hotels International, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors. Harvest Hosts continues to operate as a standalone business, now backed by the scale and reach of the Choice Hotels organization.

Our portfolio includes:

  • Harvest Hosts – offering unique overnight stays at ~6,000 wineries, breweries, distilleries, golf courses, museums, and other small businesses across North America
  • Boondockers Welcome – a community-driven platform connecting RVers with over 3,000 private property hosts
  • Escapees RV Club – one of the largest and most established RV clubs, offering resources, education, events and community for all RVers
  • Brit Stops – a UK and Ireland-based membership connecting motorhomers with ~1,500 small businesses that allow overnight stopovers
  • CampScanner – an alert service that notifies users of open campsites at sold-out State and National Parks

The company’s mission is to advance the technology and accessibility of the RVing and campground industry, making travel more fun while supporting national parks, local small businesses, and communities along the way. Who You Are You are a hands-on HR leader who wants to own the entire people function at a fast-growing, fully-remote company. As our HR Manager, you will be the go-to partner for leadership, managers and employees on everything from hiring and onboarding to payroll, benefits, compliance, performance and culture. You are equally comfortable building strategy and doing the work yourself. You know how to run HR through a PEO, you keep a cool head in sensitive employee situations, and you bring structure and clear process to a team spread across the United States and Europe. What You’ll Do

You will own and lead all areas of Human Resources, including:

  • HR Strategy & Leadership – Serve as the company’s HR lead and strategic partner to the leadership team; set HR priorities, build scalable programs and processes, and align people plans with business goals
  • Talent Acquisition – Own full-cycle recruiting, including workforce planning with leaders, job descriptions and postings, the applicant tracking system (JazzHR), interview processes, background checks, and offer letters.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding – Design and run a consistent onboarding experience and new hire orientation; manage voluntary and involuntary separations, exit interviews and unemployment claims
  • Payroll & PEO Management – Oversee bi-weekly payroll, variable compensation and one-time payments through our PEO (Justworks), and serve as the primary point of contact for the PEO relationship
  • Compensation & Benefits – Own the compensation philosophy, salary bands and market benchmarking; lead the annual merit cycle; manage benefits strategy, open enrollment and employee benefits questions
  • Performance Management – Lead the performance review process and coach managers on feedback, development and performance improvement plans
  • Employee Relations – Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers; investigate and resolve workplace concerns fairly and confidentially
  • Engagement & Culture – Run engagement and pulse surveys, turn feedback into action plans, and lead recognition and culture programs for a fully remote team
  • Compliance & Policy – Ensure compliance with federal, state and international employment laws for team members in the United States and Europe; own the employee handbook and HR policies; manage leave administration, personnel files and required training
  • Learning & Development – Identify training needs and build development opportunities for employees and managers

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years owning HR as a manager or the sole HR lead
  • Hands-on experience across the full HR lifecycle: recruiting, payroll, benefits, compensation, employee relations, performance management and compliance
  • Experience working with a PEO (Justworks preferred) and managing HR for a remote or multi-state workforce
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and multi-state employment law; exposure to UK or European employment practices is a plus
  • Experience building compensation structures and leading merit and performance review cycles
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Proficiency with HRIS and recruiting tools such as Justworks, Lattice and JazzHR, plus Google Workspace
  • Comfort with HR metrics and reporting, and the ability to turn data into recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, conflict resolution and coaching skills
  • Sound judgment, discretion and integrity with confidential information
  • A builder’s mindset: you thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and can prioritize independently

What We Bring Harvest Hosts is a fully remote company with team members located across the United States and Europe. Compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 - $105,000 annually. Benefits include unlimited PTO, health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and most of all, a fun work environment. Remote applicants must be based in the United States and may not work from the following states: CA, HI or AK. Harvest Hosts appreciates your interest in our company as a place of employment. It is Harvest Hosts policy to provide equal opportunity for employment to all qualified employees and applicants, regardless of race, religion, religious affiliation, ancestry, citizenship status, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, disability, or veteran status or any other characteristic protected by local, state or federal law. This policy applies to all areas of employment, including recruitment, placement, training, transfer, promotion, termination, pay, and other forms of compensation and benefits. Harvest Hosts will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals.
