Software Test Automation Engineer

About the Position

Handi Quilter is looking for a software testing professional with practical C# skills to improve the reliability of our Windows software for longarm quilting machines. Your primary focus will be designing tests and building automation, working alongside our developers and contributing to product fixes and improvements. Hybrid flexibility depends on independence, performance, and project needs.

What You Will Do

• Build and maintain automated tests and supporting tools in C#/.NET using MSTest.
• Develop product features, fix defects, and participate in code reviews.
• Investigate failures and improve product reliability and testability.
• Improve coverage with developers and manual testers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Experience developing and debugging C#/.NET Windows applications or services.
• Practical software-testing knowledge, including test design, boundary cases, and failure conditions.
• Ability to build reliable automated tests and investigate failures;
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with the team.
• Ability to meet the on-site training and ongoing hybrid schedule in North Salt Lake.

Preferred Qualifications

• Software-testing education or structured training.
• Experience with WPF, C++, or software that communicates with hardware.
• Familiarity with Git or another version-control system.
• Experience with CI/CD or mentoring manual testers.
• Selenium or Playwright experience is helpful but secondary.
