HALO is looking for a General Manager, Account Management, who will lead a large, multi-product account management organization and is accountable for client success, financial performance, operational excellence, and portfolio growth. As a senior client-facing leader and strategic partner to Sales, this role aligns teams across product, finance, operations, merchandising, marketing, inventory, and technology to deliver exceptional customer experience and measurable business results.
The General Manager leads through complexity - setting direction, optimizing resources, developing talent, and ensuring the organization delivers against revenue, profitability, and client-outcome goals.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a high-performing organization
- Lead, mentor, and scale a large team of account management and support professionals across multiple levels.
- Build a high-performance, client-centric culture across diverse product lines and business models.
- Establish clear communication and accountability across the organization.
- Own the talent strategy for the organization, including succession planning, leadership development, and organizational design.
Drive client success and commercial growth
- Serve as a senior relationship leader for key accounts, building trusted partnerships with executive stakeholders.
- Partner with Sales leadership and Account Executives on account strategy, growth opportunities, pitches, and contract renewals.
- Define success measures, track value realization, and align delivery to each client’s business objectives.
- Identify and advance opportunities to retain, expand, and grow the client portfolio.
- Tailor communication and engagement to executive clients, internal leaders, and frontline teams.
Own financial and business performance
- Own P&L performance for the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial management.
- Drive accountability to revenue, retention, expansion, budget, and profitability targets.
- Translate financial and operational insights into clear priorities and action plans.
- Use data and analytics to inform strategy, prioritize investments, and explain the rationale behind key decisions.
Optimize resources and operational execution
- Own staffing and capacity planning across accounts, forecasting demand and adjusting resources as business needs evolve.
- Establish clear triggers for scaling resources up or down based on client requirements and business conditions.
- Lead resourcing new program implementations and changing client needs.
- Oversee operating processes and continuously improve how the organization works.
Lead cross-functional execution and issue resolution
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex client and operational issues.
- Coordinate technology, finance, warehouse, operations, merchandising, marketing, inventory, and global teams to drive timely resolution.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships that enable seamless service delivery.
- Establish governance and risk-management practices to identify, mitigate, and escalate client and operational risks.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading large, complex organizations with multiple layers of direct and indirect reports.
- A proven track record of building trusted relationships with enterprise clients and influencing executive stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with Sales to drive account growth, retention, renewals, and strong client outcomes.
- Strong financial management skills, including P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management.
- An analytical, data-driven approach to decision-making and resource allocation.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages for executives, clients, leaders, and frontline teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex, cross-functional challenges.
- Experience managing multiple product lines and varied business models, such as programs, dropship, and recognition.
- Expertise in workforce planning, capacity modeling, talent development, and process optimization.
Leadership profile
- Strategic and commercially minded, with a clear focus on client value and business results.
- Highly collaborative and effective at aligning stakeholders across functions.
- Comfortable operating in complex, fast-changing environments.
- Decisive, accountable, and skilled at turning insights into action.
- Passionate about developing people and building organizations positioned for long-term growth.
