Flooring Installation Assistant

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Part-Time, workload based

Hours: Office hours Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM; installation hours may vary

Location: Work within approximately a 50-mile radius, north or south

Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable Flooring Installation Assistant to support our flooring installer with warehouse, installation, measuring, and job-site duties. This is a part-time, workload-based position, so hours may vary depending on project needs.This is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in flooring, construction, or installation. On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist the flooring installer with daily installation projects
• Move and organize flooring materials in the warehouse
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs
• Assist with measuring areas and materials
• Help prepare job sites for flooring installation
• Assist with cleaning at job sites when needed
• Work safely with flooring chemicals, adhesives, and glue
• Follow the direction of the installer and assist with managing installation tasks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other duties related to flooring installation as needed

Qualifications

• Previous construction, flooring, or installation experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to pass a 50-lb. lift test
• Comfortable working with chemicals, adhesives, and glue
• Reliable and willing to learn
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team
• Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Any type of vehicle is acceptable; there are no driving responsibilities for this position
• No front-facing/customer-facing sales responsibilities

Work Environment

• Small team environment: approximately 3 employees, including 1 installer
• Primarily supporting the installer rather than working in a customer-facing role
• Installation hours may vary based on workload and project schedules
• Work may take place in warehouses and on job sites
