Original job description

About the Role Our client is experiencing rapid growth - 18x YoY customer count, with 5–8 new customers onboarding weekly. To keep pace, we’re hiring a Solutions Engineer / Implementation Lead to own customer implementations end-to-end while supporting sales, success, and product. This is a highly cross-functional, customer-facing role where you’ll wear many hats: sales engineer, onboarding lead, product feedback loop, and long-term success partner.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Sales Support: Lead discovery calls, demos, and technical deep-dives with prospects.
  • Customer Onboarding: Own implementations from sales handoff to full deployment; configure integrations, train users, and ensure fast time-to-value.
  • Relationship Management: Build trusted relationships, identify risks/upsell opportunities, and ensure customer retention.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple parallel implementations with clear plans, milestones, and risk escalation.
  • Product Feedback: Capture customer insights and partner with engineering/product to drive roadmap improvements.
  • Process Improvement: Create scalable onboarding processes, documentation, and tooling to handle hundreds of customers efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years experience at a software company, ideally a fast-growing SaaS startup.
  • 1+ year in a customer-facing role (onboarding, solutions engineering, success, or similar).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; comfortable managing 15+ accounts at once.
  • Excellent communicator with empathy, patience, and customer-first instincts.
  • Curious, scrappy, and eager to learn industry-specific workflows quickly.
  • Bonus: experience with B2B SaaS implementations, APIs, SQL, Postman, or ERP/finance tools.

Why Join

  • Impact: Directly accelerate growth at a profitable, fast-scaling startup.
  • Ownership: Be the first dedicated hire in this function - shape processes from the ground up.
  • Team: Work alongside a highly technical, ambitious founding team with prior startup and big tech experience.
  • Growth: Gain front-row experience building a company with massive market opportunity and little direct competition.

Benefits

  • 90% healthcare coverage (multiple plan options)
  • 401k with 100% match up to 4%
  • Relocation bonus (Bay Area)
  • On-site gym (Peloton, squat rack, yoga setup, more)
  • Visa sponsorship available (H1B, TN, etc.)
