Tax Supervisor
Location: Carlsbad (San Diego area), CA
Overview
A national accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Supervisor for its San Diego-area (Carlsbad, California) office. You will work alongside experienced CPAs and industry leaders, supervise and mentor staff, and build and maintain client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Prepare complex C corporation, S corporation and partnership income tax returns
- Prepare high net worth individual returns
- Review mid-level complexity business and individual returns
- Research and draft memos on complex tax matters
- Identify tax planning opportunities
- Handle and resolve tax controversies
- Train and supervise staff accountants
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Licensed CPA, or working toward CPA with parts passed
- Master's in taxation preferred but not required
- 4+ years of public accounting experience
- Exceptional client service and communication skills
- Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills
- Ability to travel as needed
