Location: Coral Gables, FL (or Fort Lauderdale, FL)

Overview

A large national assurance, tax and advisory CPA firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for its core tax services team in South Florida, based in Coral Gables or Fort Lauderdale (hybrid, about 2-3 days per week in office). You will manage clients' tax compliance needs, anticipate tax and business issues, recognize tax planning opportunities, serve as the main point of contact for clients, and train and develop less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Solve problems for middle-market clients in industries such as manufacturing, real estate, professional services and high net worth individuals
• Manage engagements and provide knowledgeable review of complex returns
• Manage workflows, deadlines, deliverables and client communications
• Lead tax staff, seniors and managers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Deliver superior client service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's preferred
• Active CPA license required
• 7+ years of public accounting experience, including 2+ years of managerial experience
• Strong background in pass-through entity structures and a general understanding of corporate taxation
• General understanding of partnership taxation, particularly partnership equity investments
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
