Tax Senior Manager
Location: Lincolnshire (Chicago area), IL
Overview
A national accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for its industrial and consumer products tax group. The role can be based in its Chicago-area (Lincolnshire, Illinois) office, among others, working alongside experienced CPAs and industry leaders with a path to partnership. Hybrid.
Responsibilities
- Review complex C corporation, S corporation and partnership income tax returns
- Provide strategic planning and advise clients on federal and state compliance issues
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines
- Identify tax planning opportunities
- Counsel team members through evaluations
- Serve as an instructor or discussion leader in professional development programs
- Seek and develop new clients and business
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license, or a master's in taxation
- 8+ years in a public accounting tax department, leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
- Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
- Exceptional client service and communication skills
- Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills
- Ability to travel as needed
