Tax Senior
Location: Lincolnshire, IL
Overview
A nationally ranked accounting, tax and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior for its Lincolnshire, Illinois office (New Jersey offices also listed). The role prepares and reviews complex individual, trust, partnership and corporate returns and supports engagement teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare complex individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns
- Review mid-level complexity returns prepared by tax staff
- Research and draft memoranda involving complex tax matters
- Identify tax planning opportunities
- Handle and resolve tax controversies
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently
- Provide supervision, training and support to engagement staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Licensed CPA or working toward CPA certification
- Master's in taxation preferred but not required
- 3-5 years of prior experience in the tax department of a public accounting firm
- Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
