Tax Manager / Senior Manager

Overview
A well-established Northeast Ohio accounting and advisory firm is seeking a relationship-driven CPA to join its management team as a Tax Manager or Senior Manager in Akron, with a path to partner potential. Flexible remote/office scheduling is offered.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage client engagements, set workload priorities and supervise the work of others
- Review individual and corporate returns, including federal, foreign and state and local
- Manage federal and state tax audits
- Research and consult on complex tax issues
- Consult with clients on a broad range of tax matters
- Identify prospects, build new client relationships and cultivate a network of professional contacts
Qualifications
- 5+ years of recent tax experience in a public accounting firm
- CPA required for Manager level
- Strong team management, coaching and leadership skills
- Experience in one or more specialized areas or industries
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Master's preferred
- Strong corporate tax and/or high-net-worth individual background
