Tax Manager / Director
Location: Irvine, CA
Overview
A national professional services firm is seeking a Tax Manager or Director for its Southern California tax practice, with Irvine, California among the listed offices. This role consults with clients on succession and tax planning, leads and reviews tax engagements, and develops team members.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning
- Lead, schedule, supervise and review tax engagements
- Develop and train team members
- Perform a range of tax procedures based on the size and complexity of each engagement
- Attend industry events and trainings and build industry expertise
- Review complex individual and corporate tax returns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- 6 years of relevant experience; tax experience in public accounting and/or a professional services firm preferred
- CPA required (EA or JD may be accepted in lieu of CPA)
- Strong problem-solving skills and enjoy helping clients succeed strategically
