Tax Manager / Director
Location: Madison, WI (other Wisconsin offices considered)
Overview
A national professional services firm is seeking a Tax Manager or Director for its Wisconsin tax practice. Madison is among the listed offices (other Wisconsin locations also considered). The role consults with clients on succession and tax planning, leads and reviews tax engagements, and develops team members.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning
- Lead, schedule, supervise and review tax engagements
- Develop and train team members
- Perform a range of tax procedures based on the size and complexity of each engagement
- Attend industry events and trainings and build industry expertise
- Review complex individual and business tax returns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- Several years of experience in a professional services or public accounting firm
- CPA required (EA or JD may be accepted in lieu of CPA)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to help clients and team members succeed
- Industry or closely held business experience preferred
