Overview

A leading national advisory, tax and assurance firm is seeking a Tax Manager for its Houston, Texas practice. The role delivers tax compliance and business advisory services to middle-market and multinational clients and coaches staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax, accounting and advisory services to middle-market and multinational business clients
• Deliver responsive, timely and accurate client service
• Lead and plan client engagements and identify process efficiencies and internal-control issues
• Manage and build client relationships and resolve client issues
• Coach and develop staff on technical and professional skills
• Support business development alongside firm leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's preferred
• CPA or JD required
• 5+ years providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm
• 2+ years of supervisory experience mentoring associates
• Strong project management and communication skills
