Overview

A nationally ranked, fast-growing accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager for its Park Ridge, New Jersey office. This is an opportunity to direct tax engagements and staff while serving clients year-round.

Responsibilities

• Direct tax seniors, semi-seniors, associates and staff accountants
• Ensure assignments are completed within budgeted time
• Interact with clients throughout the year on tax matters
• Identify risk management issues and propose solutions through research and collaboration
• Conduct research and draw conclusions on targeted issues
• Build technical knowledge through training programs, industry events and research

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation or equivalent preferred
• 5+ years of progressive tax preparation, review and supervisory experience
• CPA license required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ProSystem/CCH tax software
• Technical proficiency in corporate, international, federal and state and local tax, with a background in corporate restructuring, M&A, C corporations, partnerships and individuals/trusts
• Strong tax accounting skills, including US GAAP, consolidated federal returns, partnership returns and combined state returns
• Ability to manage staff on multiple engagements in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
