Tax Manager
Location: Winchester, VA
Overview
A regional CPA and consulting firm is seeking a Tax Manager in Winchester, Virginia (other Virginia and Maryland office locations are also possible). You will work closely with firm leadership to manage tax engagements, build trusted client relationships and support your team's professional development. A hybrid work schedule is offered.
Responsibilities
- Lead tax engagements, including reviewing workpapers and tax returns
- Research complex tax issues and provide practical, proactive guidance to clients
- Mentor associates, senior associates and supervisors through regular feedback and career development
- Build professional relationships and identify opportunities to expand client services
Qualifications
- 5+ years of public accounting or equivalent professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant field; advanced degree preferred
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to quality, integrity and client confidentiality
- Ability to travel to offices, client sites and training events
- Active CPA license preferred
