Talent Generalist - Recruitment & Training Bolivar, OH | On-site | Full-time | Permanent | $65,000–$85,000

A packaging manufacturer is hiring a Talent Generalist focused on recruitment, new-hire training and onboarding, and day-to-day HR support in a manufacturing plant. You’ll partner with managers and supervisors to fill production and skilled roles, run orientation and required training, and keep employees and supervisors supported on policies, engagement, and development.

Relocation is not available; local candidates preferred. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you'll do:

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for hourly production, skilled trades, administrative, and other assigned roles - postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and candidate screening steps
  • Partner with department managers to identify staffing needs, set priorities, and improve time-to-fill and candidate experience
  • Build local pipelines through job boards, referrals, schools, workforce partners, staffing agencies, and career fairs
  • Coordinate onboarding from offer acceptance through orientation and required company, safety, quality, and job-specific training
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain training programs, materials, and records; track certifications and training completeness
  • Provide visible plant-floor HR support - policies, benefits questions, engagement/retention, and confidentiality-sensitive matters
  • Support workforce planning around production schedules, turnover, and skill gaps; promote safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement

What you bring:

  • Experience in recruiting, training/onboarding, and general Human Resources (about 3–5 years preferred)
  • Proven ability to recruit hourly production and skilled manufacturing employees in a competitive labor market
  • Experience developing, coordinating, or delivering employee training and new-hire orientation
  • Working knowledge of employment practices, HR policies, and applicable employment laws; strong organization and communication
  • Manufacturing or industrial HR experience is ideal; Bachelor’s in HR, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Comfortable on the plant floor and building trust with employees and supervisors at all levels

Pay: $65,000–$85,000 per year. Full-time, permanent, on-site in Bolivar, OH. Relocation is not available; local candidates preferred. Visa sponsorship is not available.
