A respected commercial general contractor in the western Chicago suburbs is hiring a Superintendent to lead local projects. You'll run office, retail, and light industrial jobs across DuPage and Will counties, with local-only work that keeps you home every night.
What You'll Do
- Run day-to-day field operations on commercial projects from mobilization through closeout
- Coordinate and lead trade partners to keep work safe, on schedule, and built right
- Own the site safety program and set the tone for a safe jobsite
- Build and update look-ahead schedules with the Project Manager
- Manage inspections, quality checks, punch lists, and turnover
- Keep clear daily reports and steady communication with owners, architects, and the project team
What You Bring
- 5+ years of superintendent experience on commercial projects with a general contractor
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling
- A safety-first mindset (OSHA 30 is a plus)
- Leadership skills to keep trades organized and moving
- Calm problem solving when plans change
What We Offer
