Join a fabricator near West Chester, OH as a Steel Estimator. You'll develop competitive bids that cover shop fabrication and erection for structural and miscellaneous steel packages.
Core duties:
- Build complete estimates covering material, shop labor, and erection, and prepare proposals
- Solicit and evaluate quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel from plans and specs
- Work with project managers and steel erectors on constructability and sequencing
Qualifications:
- Experience with estimating software such as Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar
- 5+ years estimating structural steel
- Strong blueprint reading skills
