Take ownership of Midwest client growth for an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector delivering projects of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time. Pay is $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives with Midwest travel.

Core duties

  • Maintain market intel on competitors, bid timing, and project pipelines
  • Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and industry events
  • Build and pursue new steel erection opportunities with general contractors and owners across the Midwest
  • Travel across the Midwest to advance pursuits and deepen client relationships
  • Lead pursuit strategy for major structural steel packages on projects of 5,000+ tons

Background that fits

  • Strong network with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
  • Clear communication and a track record of closing opportunity pipelines
  • Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest
  • Comfort winning work on large-tonnage Midwest projects
