For over 50 years, we’ve led the industry with advanced capabilities such as Design-Build, Design-Assist, Steel Fabrication & Erection, and Virtual Construction. With industry certifications including PCI Qualified Erector and AISC Advanced Certified Fabricator/Erector, we deliver superior results with rigorous safety and quality standards.

Our expertise spans diverse markets - from hospitals and automotive plants to airports, stadiums, high-rises, and more - with decades of experience managing complex projects using lean construction, BIM, and virtual modeling technologies like Tekla, StruCad, SDS/2, Revit, and Navisworks.

Position Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will drive growth by identifying new opportunities, fostering client relationships, and leading strategic initiatives to expand the companies footprint in structural steel design-build and fabrication markets across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively generate and nurture business leads within construction, design-build firms, and general contracting sectors.

• Position the company as a trusted early-stage partner in Design-Assist and Design-Build projects, emphasizing benefits like cost efficiency, schedule optimization, and sustainability.

• Present our certifications and capabilities - including PCI S2, AISC, virtual construction, and lean-building methodologies - to prospective clients and partners.

• Collaborate with internal teams to craft tailored proposals, project scopes, and presentations that align with client needs and expectations.

• Manage and expand relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors, and owners maintaining a consultative, relationship-driven approach grounded in integrity and trust.

• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to strengthen brand visibility and thought leadership.

• Monitor project pipelines, track competitor activity, and analyze market trends to spot and act on strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.

• 3+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably in the structural steel, construction, or fabrication industry.

• Demonstrated experience with Design-Build/Design-Assist delivery methods and understanding of BIM and virtual construction tools (Revit, Tekla, etc.).

• Strong network and proven relationships with design firms, general contractors, or owners in key commercial sectors.

• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and high standards of safety and quality.

• Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.

What We Offer

• Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.

• Robust benefits including health insurance, retirement options, and professional development opportunities.

• Supportive, safety-first culture where integrity, innovation, and teamwork are celebrated.

• The opportunity to shape high-profile, large-scale projects across diverse markets - from automotive facilities and healthcare to stadiums and airports.

Why work here?

• Innovative Project Delivery: Be part of a firm that leads with design-build and lean methodologies.

• Industry-Leading Capabilities: Work with a company certified in AISC and PCI, leveraging cutting-edge virtual construction tools.

• Diverse Portfolio: Influence projects ranging from hospitals and high-rises to malls, arenas, and industrial facilities.

  • Values-Driven Culture: Thrive in an environment rooted in safety, quality, integrity, and long-term relationships.
