An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector is hiring a permanent full-time Business Development Manager to win Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Compensation is $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, and the role includes Midwest travel.
What you'll drive
- Develop steel erection opportunities with owners and general contractors across Midwest markets
- Lead pursuits on structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons from first contact through award
- Travel the Midwest to build relationships and keep pursuits moving
- Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and industry settings
- Track bid timing, competitor activity, and the regional project pipeline
What you bring
- Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
- A record of winning large-tonnage Midwest projects
- Relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
- Willing to travel throughout the Midwest
- Strong communicator who closes work
