Original job description

NOW HIRING: SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER | HEAVY CIVIL CONSTRUCTION

Lead Major Projects. Build Strong Teams. Make Your Next Move Count.

Are you an experienced construction professional ready to take the lead on meaningful heavy civil projects with a company that has the stability, backlog, and long-term vision to support your success?

We’re partnering with a well-established heavy civil contractor with more than 30 years in the industry. With a strong project backlog and continued business growth, the company is looking to bring an experienced Senior Project Manager onto its team to help drive project execution, strengthen field operations, and support its next phase of growth.

This is an opportunity to step into a key leadership role with a contractor that has established roots in the industry, a solid pipeline of work, and a long-term outlook. The right person will have the opportunity to make an impact on project performance, lead teams, and contribute to the continued success of the business.

What You'll Bring to the Team

We're looking for a hands-on construction leader with a strong background in heavy civil construction and experience managing projects from planning through execution.

Relevant experience includes:

• Earthwork and Mass Excavation: Overseeing excavation operations, site preparation, and large-scale earthmoving activities.

• Underground Utilities: Managing utility construction, coordinating crews, and maintaining production schedules.

• Excavation and Grading: Driving field execution, productivity, quality, and schedule performance.

• Site Development: Coordinating construction activities to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

• Field Operations Leadership: Working closely with superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, and project teams to deliver results.

• Project Management: Maintaining control of budgets, schedules, resources, costs, and overall project performance.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

• Established Contractor: Join a company with more than three decades of industry experience.

• Strong Backlog: Step into an organization with substantial work ahead and continued demand for experienced leadership.

• Growth and Opportunity: Become part of a growing operation where experienced professionals can make a meaningful contribution.

• Long-Term Potential: Build your future with a company focused on continued success rather than a short-term project assignment.

• Leadership Impact: Play an important role in project execution, field team performance, and the company's continued expansion.

Who Should Explore This Role?

This opportunity is ideal for a Senior Project Manager or experienced Project Manager who understands heavy civil construction, knows how to lead field operations, and takes ownership of project results. We’re particularly interested in professionals with hands-on experience in earthwork, mass excavation, underground utilities, grading, and site development.

Ready for a new challenge?

If you're interested in exploring a leadership opportunity with an established, growing heavy civil contractor, let's connect for a confidential conversation. Even if you're not actively looking, it may be worth learning more about what this opportunity has to offer.

Reach out to Christopher Shannon at Christopher.shannon@gogpac.com for a confidential conversation.
