A well-established general contractor in the Chicago area is looking for a Safety Manager to support commercial projects across the north and northwest suburbs. What You'll Do
- Lead safety programs across multiple active commercial projects
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and job hazard analyses
- Train field teams and trade partners on OSHA standards and company policies
- Investigate incidents, track trends and put corrective actions in place
- Partner with superintendents and project managers to plan work safely
- Keep safety documentation, reporting and orientations organized and current
What You Bring
- 5+ years of construction safety experience with a commercial general contractor or subcontractor
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500/510, CHST or ASP a plus
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards
- Clear, approachable communication with field crews and leadership
- Comfort traveling between job sites in the Chicago area
